Cre8MKE is a city-wide collaborative of community partners and institutions working together to more efficiently and effectively serve students, in-school and out-of-school, through the arts.

MISSION: The mission of the initiative is ensure equitable access to high-quality arts experiences for all children and youth in the city of Milwaukee.

 

VISION: Together, we strive for a Milwaukee where all children and youth engage in arts education experiences that unlock their power to envision and create a just and thriving community.

GUIDING PRINCIPLES:

1. We believe that our children and youth come first and our commitment is to serve them before our own organizational/personal interests.

2. We will check our agendas at the door because we see value in crossing barriers to establish and promote a common agenda.

3. We’re committed to crafting an arts education model that is reflective of and responsive to our distinct community.

4. We communicate respectfully and consistently.

5. We build trust through transparency.

6. We believe that all art forms can contribute to a well-rounded education.

7. We’re committed to sharing resources, information and data.

8. We believe everyone at the table can make valuable contributions and we are committed to working as a group to identify ways to support these contributions.

9. We’re committed to following a strategy of accountability for the outcomes we set for ourselves.

10. We commit ourselves to an attitude, vision and pursuit of abundance for arts education in our community.
